US Charts: Beyonce & LMFAO Crowned At #1

As reported yesterday, Beyonce has once again captured the top spot on the Billboard 200, this time with her new album, ’4′. However, she isn’t the only act celebrating a win this week.

LMFAO has hit the peak position on the Hot 100 with ‘Party Rock Anthem (Ft. Lauren Bennett and GoonRock)’. This is a major achievement for the Electro Hop pair as they become the first duo to hold the #1 spot on the tally since Outkast in 2003 with ‘Hey Ya’/’The Way You Move (Ft. Sleepy Brown)’.

  These numbers aren’t bad for Beyonce but it’s not great! She did tons of US promo and should have easily cleared 400k. The fact that her first single was a hot mess hurt her as well as word of mouth feed back on the cd . She will go platinum that’s a given. Sony definitely shipped 1mil copies.
