Beyonce defies the odds yet again by holding the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 for a 2nd consecutive week with ’4′. However, the album fails to meet sales projections.
’4′ only sold 115k in the last 7 days, once again booking the pole position on the album tally. However, the record missed the 200k expectation for this week by a whopping 85k with a painful 63% dip in sales. To date, the LP has sold 425k units (almost 60k less than the 1st week figures of ‘I Am Sasha Fierce’).
Adele’s ’21′, on the other hand, continues to flourish at #2 by selling yet another 79k copies. The album has thus far sold 2.6 million units is remains the only LP to pass the 2 million mark in the US this year.
Lastly, Lloyd’s ‘King of Hearts’ enters the lineup at #10 with 26k sold, surpassing the initial sales predictions of 20k. He might be King of hearts but he is definitely not king of the charts.
