Adele just keeps winning. 27 weeks after the release of ‘21′, the album remains in the top 3 of the United World Chart with continued increases in sales.
Landing at #2, ’21′ sold over 224k copies around the globe this week, bringing it’s total sales sum to 8.44 million. The record even managed to rebuff Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ which sold 180k at #3 thanks to a 26% sales boost.
Lady GaGa’s ‘Born This Way’ holds the #5 position with 113k, one spot above Beyonce’s ’4′ which sold sold 106k copies. Moreover, Kelly Rowland’s ‘Here I Am’ enters at #7 with 78k units sold and barely 1k additional units added to her 77k US total. Undoubtedly, this slow reception is a result of the album not being given a full international release.
