Kelly Rowland has been shown little interest in the current state of her music career yet she is already planning a new album. Rico Love has revealed that he will be returning to the studio with the singer in the coming months to craft material for a new record, which will serve as the followup to her commercially underwhelming ‘Here I Am’.
Read what he had to say below:
“I’m starting Kelly’s new album soon,” reveals Love, who penned the smash ‘Motivation’ and several other cuts off Rowland’s third album. “While she’s on tour, I’m gonna be writing records for her new album. We can kinda roll that out and drop her new single in late spring. Excited about that.”

What exactly is the reasoning behind this decision? Rowland has failed to capitalise on several major promotional opportunities for ‘Here I Am’ but the record still comprises several possible singles that could turn things around.
Also, it is mind-boggling that Rowland won’t even be involved in the writing process of this new album. However, given the fact that the music on ‘Here I Am’ is shallow at best, this only confirms that she is indeed a puppet on a string who does whatever she is told with little creative input.
I am so excited to hear more of Rowland’s childish attempts at finding a hit. Just look at the ecstasy written all over on my face:
