Lil Jon and DJ Kontrol have put their own unique twist on Beyonce’s ‘Best Thing I Never Had’. Featuring a verse from Shawty Putt, the revamped track mixes the diva’s passionate vocals with a sample of The Gap Band’s ‘Outstanding’.

This version of the song is actually better than the original. The slow step groove of the sample works well with Beyonce’s vocal lines and resulted in a far more catchy product than Babyface’s forced attempt at creating a Top 40 radio hit. If only we could turn back time and get Beyonce in the studio with Lil Jon instead…
