The-Dream’s free ’1977′ album will be released in less that 2 weeks and he is using this time to build buzz for the project with a new song entitled ‘Murderer’. The record was inspired by the upcoming blockbuster file ‘Columbiana’ where a scorned assassin seeks revenge for her slain family.

If this record didn’t comprise such thick vocal layering and auto-tune then it would have been a definite winner. The-Dream has clearly hit a creative wall and is repeating the same formula with almost every song. Furthermore, what makes matters worse is the fact that Frank Ocean and Drake are making similar music and are doing it even better.

Perhaps, The-Dream needs to experience a new emotional upset. Indeed, after Nivea left him he made some of the best music of his entire career on ‘Love vs Money’. Hence, maybe he needs to reunite with Christina Milian just so she could catch him cheating and beat him with the laptop full of songs that she has yet to release.
