Just when Kelly Rowland thought it was safe to release an album. While managing to outsell Beyonce’s ’4′ LP on this week’s Billboard 200, the singer’s ‘Here I Am‘ has missed the top spot and was outdone by the ever-present force that is Adele’s ’21′.
’21′ sold 83k this week and claims the #2 spot on with a 7% increase in sales. The album has thus far sold 2.83 million in the US and was recently certified triple platinum by the RIAA.
As earlier reported, Rowland’s ‘Here I Am’ sold just under 77k at #3, giving her the lowest first week sales of her career to date. On the bright side, it managed to sell more than Beyonce’s ’4′ which sold 41k at #6 in its fifth week on the tally.
