David Guetta lived up to the expectations of industry pundits as his ‘Nothing but the Beat’ album has debuted in the top 3 of the UK Albums Chart. However, he wasn’t the only act making a major impact on the tally as Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter IV’ has also entered the top 10.
‘Nothing but the Beat’ has landed at #2 on the UK Albums Chart behind the Read Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘I’m With You’, which claimed the top spot. Contrarily, Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Chart IV’ nabbed the #8 position, which is a far cry from his projected #1 debut on the US Billboard 200 next week. Furthermore, Adele’s ’21′ slipped to #4 i its 32nd week on the lineup, 3 spots above her ’19′ debut album, which rests at #7.
Meanwhile, Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera’s current Billboard Hot 100 #1, ‘Moves Like Jagger’, climbed 1 spot to #2 on the Official UK Singles Chart whereas Guetta’s collaboration with Nicki Minaj, ‘Turn Me On’, entered at #20.
