The UNCF ‘An Evening of Stars’ aired this weekend on BET. The momentous event included performances from Patti Labelle, Jill Scott, Miguel and several others who wowed the audience with their vocal showings.

  I went to this show during its live taping about a month ago & it was pretty dazzling. All the performers were real R&B, gave me genuine raw talent. When I heard BET was no longer recognizing one figure and actually making this more “appealing to the younger demographics” but I think it was well produced and a good lineup. I can say that an Evening of Stars might need to step away from Patti Labelle though, seemingly every year she’s apart with the same glorified songs (although I’m a Patti fan). Good show overall
