I agree Trent. Mariah needs to go back to her roots, I don’t mind the whisper and low voice because I know they’re part of her very unique and distinctive voice; however I need more belting and upper chest notes. Just like she did on her MCIIY.
As long as she’s not working again with those bastards (Dream & Tricky) she’ll be fine. Marc Shaimman proved to be an amazing co-producer and songwriter so she better works with him again.

i dont think she should try 2 return 2 her old sounds. She already did that with MOAIA right? but what ever she comes up with should be good as always. MOAIA was on one her best albums. Maybe she should create something completely different by not getting inspration from her other albums.

We need perfect vocall performance and new music!! And please Mariah not too many collaborations with rapers!!! The queen is back!!

I’ve been waiting for an album like this. I hope she REALLY comes back to her R&B roots and her majestuous voice.

This is a good thing BUT i have a feeling that she’s only talking of going “back to her roots” to get some excitement, it’s the same tactic she tried by dressing in black with the curly hair during the “MOAIA” era which didn’t really work…
I always want Mariah to do well but she really needs to pull her fingers out and yes hook up with new producers, Maybe she should hook up with some up and comming producers like Madonna does instead of sticking to the same few established producers.

I don’t think Adele is making a new album, the only thing she’s been recording is the new James Bond theme she’s said. 2012 is going to be an amazing year for music anyway now that Katy Perry and Gaga are out of the way (almost) and Madonna, Mariah, Xtina, JoJo, Rihanna (yes i said it) etc are on the way back,

I’m so happy, next year is gonna be a great year for music. Mariah, Christina, Madonna etc. Hope Gaga and Katie don’t try to ruin it with bullshit rereleases. :/
