Rihanna’s new single, ‘We Found Love’, won’t officially impact Top 40 radio until October 11th but fans will get the opportunity to hear the song 3 weeks earlier. In fact, the track will premiere in just a few days.
‘We Found Love’ will debut on Thursday morning at 6am PT via 97.7 & 98.3 KWIN. The record is the lead single from Rihanna’s upcoming album, which is scheduled for release this fall.

It is actually a common occurrence for acts to premiere their music before the songs officially go for adds. However, the key point about this news that individuals might overlook is the fact that ‘We Found Love’ has only been given a Top 40/Mainstream release date and there is no indication of Urban promotion.
Hence, it is quite probable that the song will be a Dance song similar to ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ or a typical Pop radio record like ‘California King Bed’. It would be a shame if Rihanna overlooked the Urban audience that eagerly embraced the crossover Reggae Fusion hit ‘What’s My Name’, which remains the biggest hit from the ‘Loud’ album. Furthermore, the chances of Rihanna releasing a record like ‘Man Down’ as her lead single are very slim because it did not amass the popularity of her other singles.
Alas, this is all just speculation. Let us wait to hear what Rihanna releases on Thursday. Get your prayer beads ready.
