Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’ continued to dominate the Billboard Hot 100 this week so it was no suprise that other artists attempted to deliver their own versions of the tune. One such performer was Katy Perry who performed the track during the Sheffield stop of her ‘California Dreams Tour’ on Wednesday.
Perry sang the song during a medley with her new single, ‘The One That Got Away’. The Pop star revealed the accompanying artwork for ‘The One’ last month.

Shockingly, Perry did quite well with her rearranged version of the song. Instead of attempting to sing Adele’s original composition and rupturing a lung onstage, Perry kept it simple so that it would suit her limited live vocal ability.
However, ‘Someone Like You’ is not a very difficult song to sing. In fact, the most significant components of that record are the lyrics. A real test of Perry’s voice would be for her to cover a ‘Rolling In The Deep’ or perhaps a song by Jessie J.
