As the list of performers scheduled to perform at the 2011 American Music Awards continues to lengthen, Mary J. Blige has officially been confirmed as one of the shows featured entertainers. In fact, the ceremony will be a timely boost for her ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act 1)’, which hits stores on the following day.
In addition to Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Nicki Minaj and others, Blige has been named as a performer for the 2011 AMA, which airs live on November 20th at 8pm ET on ABC. The Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul will release her ‘My Life II’ album on November 21st – the same day as Rihanna’s ‘Talk That Talk’ and Michael Jackson’s ‘Immortal’.
Blige revealed the tracklist for her ‘My Life II’ LP earlier this month. The record features appearances from Beyonce, Rick Ross and a late addition from Drake who will join Blige on the project’s next single, ‘Mr. Wrong’.
