I’m happy for Nicki’s success with the song but this is not my favorite song. All the success is not going to convince me that this is a good song. It is a song that made white people think they could rap. Something like Michael Jackson’s Rock With You made white people think they could dance.

No she was a household name as far as urban music lovers. Super Bass made her a household name to those who don’t typically listem to hip hop. This is a pop record mixed with hip hop. That helped her reach a broader audience. She has Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez to thank. Super Bass was on Pink Fridays deluxe edition so unless u loved Nicki or hee music u would not have heard it until them two professed their love for the track. Congrats to her though. I use to be a BIG fan but not so much lately.
