    New Video: Beyonce – ‘Countdown’

    Written by TriniTrent | Filed under Beyonce

    Mere days after the release of a preview of her ‘Countdown’ video, Beyonce has debuted the visual in its entirety. Issued to Top 40 and Rhythmic radio on October 4th, the song is the latest single from her platinum-certified ’4′ album.

    Watch the ‘Countdown’ video below:

    That was actually an enjoyable video and it suited the song quite well. It was very surprising that Beyonce was able to execute that choreography given her pregnancy and she easily dispelled the notion that her condition is a handicap.

    Moreover, the Audrey Hepburn/old Hollywood concept was fun to watch and added a colourful element to what was initially expected to be a rehash of Beyonce’s ‘Greenlight’ visual. All in all, she did a great job of brining the song to life and laid the foundation for what could become the Pop radio hit that she needs for this ’4′ era.

      *bringing*

    • Rihbaby

      This bitch does it all the time, always wants to take my Rihanna’s shine, why im shaking so badly, why can’t Beyoncé let Rihanna be great, all those dance moves omg shes making Rihanna look like that winding robot that has no moves. BEY ITS RIHANNA’S YEAR, JUST TAKE A 3 MONTH BREAK PLEASE!!!!

    • bloodclate sexy

      @rihbaby take a seat

    • Teen

      Yawn

    • http://www.RonaldMatters.com RONALDMATTERS.COM

      The Queen dancing in flats still slays the likes of other pop stars out right now (aka your fave). My only criticism is that Cruella DeVille hat and that ever changing leotard…. Yeah, that scene should have never left the discussion table.

    • Myran

      LOFL Dancing still = ass shaking lofl. she’s such a joke

    • Bri

      @Myran
      What video were you watching? There was more than ass shaking. There was some actual footwork. It was simple technique of course, but it was still more that just ass shaking.

    • Ugh

      @Rihbaby……………………..lmao u poor thing

    • Sheila

      Wow, still pretty boring, never got the big deal about her, she’s pretty and she can sing but thats it. She’s not the best singer, far from the best dancer, and her music is very stale and predictable.

    • Rudeboy

      Wow, this is a sad attempt to come for Rihanna, she must notice how Rihannas dominating the charts, and she’s not even in the top 10 at all this entire era. I smell a desperate bleached blonde bitch

    • Bri

      Why does she have to “come for” just Rihanna? Rihanna isn’t the only successful artist on the charts. And she’s definitely not Bey’s one and only (or biggest) competition. Adele is the bitch who’s dominating the charts. Therefore, everyone (including Rihanna) should be trying to come for her. But I really don’t think Bey is trying to come for anybody. There’s been high demand for this song to be a single for quite some time, and even higher demand for a video.

    • Rudeboy

      The sad truth is there hasnt been high demand for Bey by anyone who’s not a diehard fan for a while. I mean not a single top 10 with 4 charted songs? Not good

    • Americanboi

      @RudeBoy girl, what world do u live in? “4″ is selling fairly well to say she BARELY promotes it. She’s PREGNANT you fool. Shes been pregnant since this era began obviously. The ONLY place Rihanna is excelling is her singles. LOUD is her best selling album to date. She’s a SINGLES girl. Ok. Don’t compare her to people who’s career CLEARLY overshadows hers…by a LONG SHOT. You must have been born yesterday. Even Rihanna’s creator, LA REID, said that Beyonce is “arguably” the best performer alive. So…shut the hell up.

      Anywho…this video was cute. I can’t wait for Beyonce to drop Brooklyn Carter tho so she can slid back in those 5 inch heels and give me what we all know she can do.

    • Maverick

      outoftune-nna (aka rihanna) stans will always be pressed over the fact that queen bee always shits on offkey-nna’s hot mess weave when it comes to singing.

    • Ryan

      LOFL @ 4 selling well, yall know thats a reach. That album flopped HARD, not a single top 10 single. I mean Britney & Gaga’s albums flopped too but at least they got hits from it, Beyonce didnt get shit, guess everybody’s getting tired of her fake ass. I mean really not a single top 10? Yall dont find that a little bit sad? Cause the rest of the world does. Which is why we all moved on

    • Ryan

      P.S. Everyone who releases singles is a singles artist, geez. Heres the sad truth for Bey stans

      The fact that Bey has good album sales only means she can get her braindead fans to go out and buy large amounts of her horrible albums.

      The proof that normal people dont like her actual music is the fact that she dosent have a single hit off this album.

      When people like your music it goes #1 And the fact that she hasnt had a #1 in 3 years says it all. People think her music stinks, the end :)

      And yall can say what you want about Rihanna’s voice, she still makes better music than Bey, and her stuff dosent all talk about the same shit like Bey’s does. What kind of 30 yr old women is still singing about some high school bull shit= FAIL

    • Bri

      Just because an album lacks hit singles, doesn’t necessarily make it a flop. And by no means did 4, Born This Way, nor Femme Fatale flop. They may have been underwhelming sales, but that doesn’t mean it’s a flop. Born This Way went platinum after a week. How’s that flopping? Bey’s worst first week sales, were better than Rihanna’s best first week sales, with no top 10 singles. I’d say that’s pretty remarkable.
      And Rihanna’s music may be more radio friendly and popular as of late, but that does not mean it’s better. It’s pretty shallow compared to Bey’s music, ESPECIALLY this 4 CD. And how is she singing about high school stuff? She sings mostly about her relationship with a man she’s been with for a decade. Sorry she’s not singing about taking a large dick or being tied up with a gag ball in her mouth.

    • Ryan

      LOFL PLEASE, Bey has been making the same 1 track album for over 10 years. And 4 was BORING, and completely unoriginal and predictable like everything she’s ever done in her entire career. Her music has NO substance. If the music on this crappy album was good or worth normal peoples time, itd have hits. Its not that the songs arent “radio friendly” its that their either boring or full of the same boring generic crap that her career is full of. There NOTHING on this album that we havent heard from her before.

      And sorry all of those albums are looked at as flops, sorry, its just the way it is.

      Yea Im sorry she’s not singing about that stuff either, thatd finally be different than the horrible music she has been making.

    • Shawny

      WOW, only Beyonce stans like the video how shocking !!! Just like only they liked the album.

      So un original

    • Loni

      Beyonce & Rihanna are both unoriginal copiers with not an ounce of originality, 1 sings better than the other, and 1 makes better music than the other, both of their music is shitty so who really cares?

    • jasmine

      cute video…and Born This Way did not have underwhelming sales…i don’t think 1.1 million the first week is underwhelming…back to the subject i liked the vintage look of the video.

    • jasmine

      wow, are rihanna stans coming for Bey…i can’t

    • audrey_j

      MEGA LOLZ @ the girl at the end of the video who leaves her chair… ruuuuuns around the room and gets back at it ! what you tryna do gurl ????

      I can’t Beyonce dances better than RihYODEL with pregnancy lmaoooooooooo!

    • Ayana

      @Rudeboy

      Gaga album a Flop?? Honey Her album has sold over 5million just in 51/2 months it’s going to pass LOUD 5.7 million sales LMAO!!!! Flop is the wrong word for that one lol

    • BreezyTaughtMe!

      I like the vid, I onlt wish her dancers were dressed like the time period the vid follows, they looked out of place. other than that its cool. on another note, people have to realize that Beyonce’s at a place in her career where she doesnt have to prove anything, unless she so chooses. Rihanna is not at that place & in my opinion will never be, thats why she makes catchy tunes to stay revelant!

    • Dray

      The shade being thrown at Rih shows she has made it and certainly slaying the charts. Enough said. Oh, this was suppose to be about that Bey video. Well, she looks younger with black hair. That’s all I can say.

    • darius

      @Ayana Born this way hasnt sold over 5 million, its only at 4.6million….if your going to argue with someone state the correct facts
