Drake released a sneak peek of his ‘Headlines’ video last month and now the full visual has premiered as scheduled. The song is the lead single from his ‘Take Care’ album, which hits stores on October 24th.
Watch the video below:
This is the typical Hip-Hop video that warrants little fanfare. What will be most interesting, however, is how Drake plans to promote this album beyond the release of visuals.
While promoting his ‘Thank Me Later’ LP, Drake reserved almost all of his television appearances until the actual week of the record’s debut and as a ramification of that decision, his sales were not as consistent as they should have been. In fact, over a third of the total units sold to date were accomplished in the first week – 450K from 1.41 million.
Hence, I hope that Drake has a more extensive promotional campaign planned for this ‘Take Care’ era. He is no longer marketing mixtape singles; he has an album to sell.

It’s ok. Nothing special, and far from the Drake I liked.
I like the video but I wish Drake coulda push the boundaries a bit coz he’s at the point of his career to take risk! Nevertheless, I’m getting #TakeCare album…..I want him to promote it as much as he can
This video was missing something!! Why was the guys just sanding there… it was boring!! The title of the song is “headlines” … which could imply many things. None of which I saw in the video… In my opinion, this vid was thrown together… no thought behind it! They have access to too much equipment and locations for this! Hmmm I sound a lil bitter.. I say kudos to the creative mind behind the scenes!
I like the old Drake. I dont like who he has turned into.
i love this song

Drake is a very perceptive and articulate individual. Artistic people invite us into their minds and thought processes with their creations. The video is his work.It wasn’t made to please anyone, its an expression of creativity.
