Kelly Rowland gave her fans a taste of what they could have expected from her ‘Down for Whatever’ video yesterday when she released a batch of screenshots from the set. Now, the empowered singer has debuted the Sarah Chatfield-video in its entirety.
‘Down for Whatever’ is the official lead international single for Rowland’s ‘Here I Am’ project. She previously released a visual for ‘Lay It On Me (Ft. Big Sean)’, which was her second release for the US version of the album, last week.
Watch the ‘Down for Whatever’ video below:
Thanks to clever lighting and editing, Rowland transformed an otherwise dull single-room set into a dazzling production. As noted in our review of the album, ,’Down for Whatever’ is by far the best song on ‘Here I Am’ and is almost a guaranteed hit in the UK and Europe.
Furthermore, since ‘Here I Am’ has basically run its course in the US and has fallen to #119 on the Billboard 200, Rowland can now focus on making the record an international success like she did with her ‘Ms. Kelly’ LP. Indeed, as a judge on ‘The X Factor (UK)’, she has the opportunity to centre all of her energy overseas while ‘Lay It On Me’ climbs the US Urban radio charts without any needed support from live performances.
