Bruno Mars has reaped the benefits of his performance on ‘The X Factor (UK)’ last week as his ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ album has rebounded into the top 5 of the UK Albums Charts. However, as the singer experienced a resurgence in in popularity, one of his counterparts began to lose momentum. Indeed, after dominating the top 5 of the lineup since January, Adele’s ’21′ has started its descent.

‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ leaped 5 spots to #4 on the UK Albums Chart this week. The record, which initially debuted at #1 on the tally, was released in that territory on January 17th 2011.

Furthermore, Mars’ latest single, ‘Runaway Baby’ has entered the Official UK Singles Chart at #19 as his previous release, ‘Marry You’, also climbed from #30 to #24. The latter has become Mars’ 8th top 20 single on the lineup and his 5th as a lead performer. Thus far, 3 of the single from ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ have reached #1 on the chart – ‘Just The Way You Are’, ‘Grenade’ & ‘The Lazy Song’.

Meanwhile, Adele’s ’21′ has slipped out of the top 5 of the UK Albums Chart in its 40th week. Already certified 10x platinum in the UK with sales exceeding 3 million copies, the record held a place in the top 5 for 39 weeks, 18 of which were at #1.

Elsewhere, Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ also fell from its leading position on the Singles Chart. The song, which recently became the Pop star’s 9th global leader, reigned at #1 on the tally for 3 weeks but has fallen to #3.
