Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ quickly shot to the top of the United World Track Chart last week after less than 6 weeks of availability. However, following the trend of almost all of the Pop star’s previous hit songs, the track quickly lost its grip of the #1 slot.
‘We Found Love’ dipped to #2 on the Track Chart this week, despite exhibiting a 17K increase to 437K. On the other hand, the song vaulted to the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 earlier this week and earned Rihanna her 11th chart-topper. The Barbadian has tied Whitney Houston with as many #1 singles on that tally to become the 7th artist in history to achieve that feat.
Meanwhile, on the United World Album Chart, Adele’s ’21′ held at #2 with 245K copies sold, which represented a 1% increase from last week. Impressively, Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Stronger’ album has opened at #4 with 225K units in sales as the project’s lead single, ‘Mr. Know It All’, surged to #8 on the Track Chart.
