Did you know that Brandy and Monica’s ‘The Boy is Mine’ is the longest-running #1 duet in the history of the Billboard Hot 100?
‘The Boy is Mine’ remained at the top of the tally for 13 weeks – a feat that has yet to be matched by another pairing. Moreover, the track ascended to the top of the Hot 100 on June 6th 1998 after vaulting a a stunning 22 spots from #23 to #1. At the end of the 1958-2008 period, ‘The Boy is Mine’ was ranked as the 54th most successful tune on the lineup.

Such a great song! You really took me back when I was a teenager lol.
Even though I find Brandy’s voice and range way more interesting than Monica’s I actually like Monica’s vocals on this song better. I think it harmonizes and fits perfect to the song. Both sounded great though.
