Rihanna’s manager, Jay Brown, asserted that his goal while crafting her ‘Talk That Talk’ album was to create a record of only hit singles and judging by these addition previews of the album, it is clear that he achieved that goal. Snippets of the LP’s Deluxe Edition tracks have been released and they exhibited a similar raunchy yet radio-ready sound to the standard version of the album.
The second single from ‘Talk That Talk’, entitled ‘You Da One’, was released to radio earlier today. The record will impact iTunes on November 13th at midnight.
Listen to the preview of the ‘Talk That Talk’ deluxe edition below:
‘Red Lipstick’
‘Do Ya Thang’
‘Fool In Love’
I shall refrain from making any solid judgements until the full ‘Talk That Talk’ album has been issued but judging by these snippets, Rihanna has simply combined the gritty sound of ‘Rated R’ with the radio-friendly melodies of ‘Loud’. Hence, she has remained on trend with Pop music without trying anything new.
