Almost exactly two months since she announced that her second studio album had been delayed until 2012, Alexandra Burke has finally revealed the release date of the project’s lead single. However, fans of the singer will still have to wait until February to get the track.
‘Elephant’ will be available in the UK on February 26th 2012. Featuring Erick Morillo, the song was initially set to be issued in September 2011 but the release was unexpectedly postponed when Burke returned to the studio to record additional material for her album.

Hopefully, Burke stays on schedule because a project’s success depends on both quality and timing. Indeed, with intense competition from her UK peers, such as Leona Lewis, and a squad of US acts all aiming for international success in 2012, she has a tough chart battle ahead.
That’s too far away. They need to drop it earlier. When will these artists learn?
I don’t know her
@Julien, I totally agree. Why tell everyone at the beginning of December 2011 when it’s not coming out until the end of February 2012? She needs to drop 1 or 2 ‘buzz’ tracks in order to keep people’s attentions until the official single’s release day.
I hope she gets it right because she is very talented. Its hard being a Alexandra fan because people are allways comparing her to JLS and saying they have more success than her.
I hope she proves people wrong and that her label move to RCA pays off.
