New Song: Katy Perry – ‘The One That Got Away (Remix) (Ft. B.o.B.)’

Written by TriniTrent | Filed under B.o.B,Katy Perry

Earlier today, we shared the first preview of Katy Perry’s remix of her latest single, ‘The One That Got Away’. Now, the full version of the B.o.B-assisted tune, which was produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin, has been released.

Listen to the remix of ‘The One’, which represents Perry latest bid to break Michael Jackson’s record of five #1 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 from a single album, below:

Artists like Perry really insult the legacy of the remix with such lazy attempts of revamping their material as depicted by ‘The One’. Similar to all of the supposed remixes released by Perry during the last year, this was just a copy/paste product where B.o.B’s voice was simply added to the original tune. Honestly, ‘The One’ is a great Pop song but Perry has made a complete mockery of the music industry yet again.

I really like B.O.B’s part… too bad it was so short. Could careless about this song

    • Ugh

I am going to delete the one song from this bitch off of my ipod. This is such a disgrace to music. Very pathetic. First she sells the single for 69 cents to push it up the charts and now she goes and remixes it to attempt to land yet another #1 undeserving spot.
Thank you Katy, you’ve proved once again the music industry ain’t shit.

ALL HER FUCKING ATTEMPTS AT TRYING TO BREAK MICHAELS RECORD ARE PISSING ME OFF. UNLIKE YOU KATY BITCH, MICHAEL DIDN’T NEED TO DISCOUNT AND REMIX HIS MUSIC FOR IT TO GO TO NUMBER #1..

she can get every single song off that damn teenage dream album to #1 but will never EVER be compared to MJ’s record, people actually went out and bought it, everyone loves MJ, Katy has only got a small amount of sex appeal plus teenagers who constantly wait until the song is decreased in price and probably just sit there clicking purchase, she really is a mockery and this latest desperate attempt to get this to #1 is beyond pathetic. Really, who will remember the last friday night remix and this one, yes, NO ONE. Katy take a break or just disappear, please for the sake of the music industry!!

I remember the days of the true remix. People would go in the studio TOGETHER and record the song. Lyrics would be rerecorded or changed completely. The production would be redone. Nowadays, people just copy and paste. Just complete laziness. I know very little about music but I’m sure I could do better than the artists in the game now.

Katy is just one of the many. Every artist in the game needs an intervention so that they can get it together. I blame the artists for being lazy but I also blame us as the fans for putting up with this laziness. We all need to do better.
