New Song: Nicki Minaj – ‘Stupid Hoe’

Nicki Minaj dropped a bomb on iTunes just moments ago with the debut of her new single, ‘Stupid Hoe’. The track is the first official release from her ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’, which will arrive in stores on February 14th 2012, following the buzz song ‘Roman in Moscow’.

Perhaps Minaj has gotten comfortable with her success or overwhelmed by her multiple personalities but this song is unadulterated tripe. She was simply spouting random words over the beat, which was undoubtedly chosen to excite her young fans who are easily encouraged to overlook lyrical content in favour of club-ready songs.
Honestly, Minaj has drastically missed the mark with ‘Stupid Hoe’. If this is the type of material that she will be delivering with ‘Roman Reloaded’ then she will has a high chance of experiencing the dread sophomore slump. Where has the Minaj that gave us ‘I’m the Best’ gone?

Well, considering it’s not Nicki Minaj…
I liked it. It’ll fit in with the current music scene and be a hit. In this day and age, most teenagers and young adults are looking for musical depth so this will fit right in.

I love Nicki and as a fan she will have my support 100%. But this is not what I call a first single. It’s lukewarm, but hey it will be a hit regardless. Roman In Moscow was much better and thats should have been the first single instead as a buzz. But hey no worries she’ll do fine. As long the rest of the album is quality I’m good. However this single is a dissapointment. =/
