J. Cole wasn’t the only rapper who attempted to grab the attention of Holiday shoppers yesterday. Drake also joined the fray by releasing the video for his latest Rhythmic Top 40 single, ‘The Motto’, which featured his Young Money comrades Lil Wayne and Tyga.

‘The Motto’ was actually added to Drake’s ‘Take Care’ album as an iTunes bonus track and was not available on the standard version of the record. Nonetheless, the LP has thus far sold over 1.04 million copies in the US and clocked its fifth week in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 yesterday.

Watching Drake drive around in a fancy car while rapping about his sexual exploits and saying “n*gga” a few dozen times was as uncomfortable as seeing him dance. Still, at this point in his career, everything he releases evolves into a hit so it is highly unlikely that people would be bothered.
