Rihanna was unable to win her most recent chart battle against Mary J. Blige on the Billboard 200 but she will probably win a different type of war in the upcoming blockbuster film, ‘Battleship’. Scheduled to premiere on May 18th 2012, the movie will depict the Pop star in the role of Petty Officer Raikes as she rumbles with invaders on the tumultuous seas.

Rihanna took us behind the scenes of ‘Battleship’ in September when she sat down with ‘Entertainment Tonight’ to discuss how she prepared herself for the challenging scenes. Whether that training was done via Skype in a similar manner to her vocal classes has yet to be determined.
