Amy Winehouse’s legacy has continued to survive not only through her music but also on the UK Albums Chart. In fact, the British Soul singer’s first posthumous album, ‘Lioness: Hidden Treasures’, has debuted at the top of the tally with some of the highest first weeks sales of the year.
‘Lioness’ has sold over 194K copies to score the #1 slot on the Albums Chart. The record has notched the fourth largest first week total of 2011 behind Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ (215K), Coldplay’s ‘Mylo Xyloto’ (208K) and Adele’s ‘21’ (208K).
Meanwhile, on the Official UK Singles Chart, another artist achieved a career milestone. Lloyd’s ‘Dedication to My Ex (Miss That) (Ft. Andre 3000)’ has entered the lineup at #3 – his highest-charting single to date. His previous most successful track on the Singles Chart was his 2006 hit ‘You (Ft. Lil Wayne)’, which peaked at #45.
