The 2012 Grammy Awards are less than two weeks away and the show’s producers were clearly saving the best news related to the event for last. Indeed, the breakthrough artist of the last year, Adele, has officially announced that she will entertain the audience at the prestigious event.
Adele has joined the list of talented performers that includes Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson and the Foo Fighters. Rihanna is also expected to walk across the stage in support of Coldplay, who will reportedly deliver a rendition of their collaborative single, ‘Princess of China’.
Among the six awards for which Adele is nominated for this year’s Grammys are Album of the Year for her 6 million+ selling ’21′ album as well as Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her monster hit ‘Rolling in the Deep’. There is no word regarding whether Rihanna will deafen viewers before or after Adele’s set. Tune in to CBS on February 12th at 8pm ET to find out.
