Despite the sexual connotations of her upcoming ‘Elephant’ single, Alexandra Burke donned her best gown for Sunday praise and worship on BBC One’s ‘Songs of Praise’ earlier today. The singer performed two songs for the massive Royal Albert Hall crowd – ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘Can’t Give Up Now’.
Burke will release ‘Elephant’ in the UK on February 26th. The song will feature Erick Morillo and serve as the lead single from her new studio album, which is due later this year.
Watch Burke’s performances at ‘Songs of Praise’ below:

‘Can’t Give Up Now’
There is no denying that Burke is a terrific singer but she still performs as though she is a contest on ‘The X Factor (UK)’. Honestly, it would be wonderful if Burke penned some of her own ballads so that we could get an idea of who is as an artist and woman because her covers just don’t seem natural.
shutup man
NARHHHHHHHH SHE KILT “CAN’T GIVE UP NOW”!!!! All she needed was some drums and some Black people and that bitch would have sweated out her perm! My Goodness!! YESSSSS ALEXANDRA BURKE!!!!!!
sang woman!!
I strongly disagree with your comments Trent. Seriously? The only girl who keeps on thinking is on X Factor is called Leona Lewis.
Alexandra doesn’t have a very special or unique voice but she can actually connect her emotions to the song making her performances anything but boring.
She sounded fantastic! This girl needs the proper guidance and PR team to be huge everywhere.
That choir sucked. Alexandra sounds nice here.
Get the hell out of here Trent you are deaf and dumb Alex was excelllent and sounds better than all your favs. She smashed both songs.
Excellent article, thanks.
