Did you know that 50 Cent’s ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was the best-selling album of 2003 in the US?

‘Get Rich’ sold almost 6.54 million copies in 2003 and easily outpaced it’s nearest rival, Norah Jones’ ‘Come Away With Me’, by over 1.40 million units. The latter, which was released 11 months before ‘Get Rich’, sold 5.14 million copies in the US during 2003.

To date, ‘Get Rich’ has sold 8.07 million copies in the US and was the 4th highest-selling album of the last 10 years – 2002 to 2011 – and the second best-seller among Rap albums. Eminem’s ‘The Eminem Show’ was the most successful Rap release of that period with 10.03 million in sales.
