Did you know that Janet Jackson started her career as an actress long before she entered the music industry?
Jackson first appeared on ‘The Jacksons’ variety show in 1976 alongside her brothers and elder sisters La Toya Jackson and Rebbie Jackson. Subsequently, she joined the groundbreaking sitcom ‘Good Times’ in 1977 and then ‘A New Kind of Family’, ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ and ‘Fame’.
In addition to launching her music career with her self-titled debut album in 1982, Jackson scored multiple movie roles, such as the iconic lead part in ‘Poetic Justice’, in which she shared the screen with rapper Tupac Shakur. She also starred in ‘Nutty Professor II: The Klumps’ and ‘Why Did I Get Married?’.
