New Song: Chris Brown – ‘Turn Up The Music’

After Chris Brown’s previously scheduled single, ‘One of those Nights (Ft. will.i.am)’, was mysteriously removed from radio listings before it even debuted, many people became confused regarding the status of his ‘Fortune’ project. However, the energetic entertainer put those fears to rest when he released a different song, entitled ‘Turn Up the Music’, just moments ago.
Brown will issue his ‘Fortune’ album to stores in March. Acts expected to contribute to the LP include will.i.am, Kevin McCall and Nas, the last of whom logged studio time with Brown last week.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Brown is versatile enough to handle both R&B and Dance/Pop but the latter is clearly his strong point. This is an excellent record for the club and he sound natural amidst the tumbling beats and synths.
Brown’s Urban fans may not appreciate him venturing further into the Dance/Pop field but there is a massive beyond the US that would readily buy his music. Honestly, ‘Turn Up the Music’ is a much better song than ‘Strip (Ft. Kevin McCall)’ and with the right promotion, it could be a massive hit on all fronts.

I am thoroughly enjoying artists who are dipping into other genres of music. It’s refreshing.
Doooope! If Chris doesn’t promote this right and put out a banging ass video I will put my foot in his ass. And I’m so sick of people complaining about artists turning to dance music. Honestly what’s wrong with being versatile. If you’re good at it why not? From songs to Look At Me Now & Deuces to Beautiful People and this Chris Brown is most definitely doing his thing with catering to both urban and dance/pop audiences. Go Chris!

Yes!!! I love it. Now if only people download from itunes and request at all the radio stations this should be a winner!!! Also we need that song to go past 44 like Strip is on itunes so downloading from Itunes is a must.

I love the track and I agree with everyone else he needs to release on itunes right away. A great video will definitely make it #1. I love his versatility, he can differently do any type of music. I would love one day for him do a country song. He can something similiar like Lionel Richie’s “Stuck on You”. I could see him sing that. He is very talented which is rare he reminds me of Lionel Richie with his abilities to sing, write and dabble in different aspects of music.
Find it strange that Chris Brown gets praise for making pop music but Usher gets accused of “selling out”

I have to agree and disagree. Chris can def handle both genres, but I feel he can be just as solid in RB. His debut and follow up albums have strong quality RB singles. The keyword is quality. I do prefer those over No BS or Strip. Leave the raunchy RB along and get back to those heart felt and smooth cuts with all the other things he does well. This record though should be a hit.

Usher gets panned probably because it doesn’t look natural for him to do pop. He did R&B record after R&B record and just recently got into a pop a few years ago, about a decade into his career.
Chris Brown however has been doing pop since his second album. No one criticizes him for it because he’s been doing it since he was a kid. He’s still super young – 22.
Even Run It – his first single and first #1 was a pop hit.

Chris has been doing pop way before Usher. Do you remember his song Forever, that was pop and it went straight to the top. As of today people are still buying it. Tell me one song that Usher did in his other albums. Raymond vs Raymond was the album with the pop songs.

Love It! The Uk will eat this up. One of the top UK radio station, Capital Fm, have been playing is consistently since its debut
(And they blacklisted Chris’s song in 09,10) This is such a great record. One of the best dance records produced in a lond while. What iam super excited for is the video cause i know that choerography is gonna be epic! Finally a dance track with some epic dancing. Fingers crossed this song goes to no.1 around the world and that ‘Fortune’ goes plat in the first month.
