Following multiple delays, Melanie Fiona’s fans have been worried that her ‘The MF Life’ album was permanently stalled. However, the R&B singer released a new song entitled ‘Wrong Side of a Love Song’ today to reassure her supporters that there is still life in the project.
‘The MF Life’ is currently on track for release on May 8th. The record is preceded by the singles ‘Gone & Never Coming Back’ and ’4 AM’.
Listen to Fiona’s ‘Wrong Side’ below:
It must be an incredibly frustrating experience for Fiona have her career mishandled while knowing that she is far more talented than most of her peers. ‘Wrong Side’ is a brilliant vocal performance and an expertly arranged throwback to the sound of 1960s R&B/Soul yet if Fiona’s label does not get her affairs in order then nobody would hear this record beyond the blogs.
Hopefully, Fiona will be able to salvage her career. It would be a shame if a talent such as hers faded away similar to countless R&B acts in the past.
