Dance/Pop music dominated 2011 and with the dawn of a new year, R&B fans are eager for a resurgence of the genre. Launching this era is none other than Tank who released the lead single from his upcoming ‘Savior’ album, ‘Next Breath’, just moments ago.
Tank’s previous album, ‘Now or Never’, didn’t match the impact of his previous works and has yet to be certified by the RIAA. However, he did earn a nomination at the 2011 Grammy Awards for his duet with Chris Brown, ‘Take My Time’, in the final Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group category.
Listen to ‘Next Breath’ below:
This a beautiful song and is perfectly suited to the R&B and Adult Contemporary formats. Tank is clearly not concerned with scoring a mainstream hit so for a song that was crafted to succeed in his lane, ‘Next Breath’ is definitely solid. Besides, with most of the male artists unable to sing without the assistance of auto-tune, Tank’s voice is a welcome change from their basic tripe.

I think he needs a female counter part for this song and then it will be a smash hit!!!
Kelly Rowland & tank need to work together again. “The Show” was sexXxy! And, the climax of this song is missing something…
Yes! The Show is my fave from Ms. Kelly!
It’s not such a hit, the melody never evolves. I’ve already forgotten the song (and I listened twice) Very average rnb…
i love it..i really like Tank as well…he’s a great singer & writer
I don’t care what you say, I still hear auto-tune on that record!
