It might be difficult for some people to believe but Adele’s ’21′ has been in stores for a year. In fact, the album, which is ranked as the best-selling release of the 21st century in the UK, has held a position in the top 10 of the UK Albums Chart for 53 weeks.
Adele has celebrated the anniversary of her ’21′ album by noting an incredible feat – the LP has yet to lose its position in the top 10 of the Albums Chart. After scoring 20 nonconsecutive weeks at the top of the listing, the record has sold over 3.9 million copies as the top-selling album of the last decade in the UK.
Meanwhile, Jessie J’s ‘Domino’ has lost it’s grip of the top slot on the Official UK Singles Chart after the song dominated the lineup for 2 consecutive weeks. On the other hand, her ‘Who You Are’ album has rebounded from #10 to #7 on the Albums Chart.
