Did you know that in addition to acting and comedy, Bill Cosby was also a singer?
Cosby launched his singing career in 1967 with his ‘Silver Throat: Bill Cosby Sings’ LP. The record entailed several cover songs including a comedic version of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Little Ole Man (Uptight, Everything’s Alright)’, which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Cosby also released several comedy albums, starting with ‘Bill Cosby Is a Very Funny Fellow…Right!’ in 1963. His works earned him a stunning 7 Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Performance/Best Comedy Recording.
