Chris Brown reunited with Rihanna for the full version of the latter’s ‘Birthday Cake’ but the fun didn’t end there. The duo also collaborated on the remix of Brown’s latest single, ‘Turn Up The Music’, just in time to build buzz for his upcoming ‘Fortune’ album, which hits stores in March.
Is ‘Turn Up’ just as raunchy as ‘Birthday Cake’? Luckily for Brown, the tune stays true to it’s PG Pop sound but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t listen to it below:
Truth time: minus Rihanna’s nasal attempts at singing, this is a great remix. Yes, it isn’t as shocking as ‘Birthday Cake’ but Brown certainly couldn’t afford to take a risk with his music at this stage in his career.
From a PR perspective, Brown and Rihanna’s reunion would actually do more damage to her than him. She has used his name and image in many of her promotional campaigns since their domestic dispute so what little pity she got from the public would surely fade. Brown, on the other hand, has dodged the dispute for the last year.
Regardless, the alleged activities of Brown and Rihanna’s genitalia are not my concern. This is a solid record and it would generate ample attention for Brown’s ‘Fortune’ project. Yet, he better not complain when the media launches an attack against him and Rihanna by dawn.
