Nicki Minaj’s ‘Stupid Hoe’ and ‘Roman in Moscow’ were slammed by both her fans and critics so it is such a refreshing moment of relief to hear hew new song, ‘Young Forever’. Produced by Dr. Luke, the song will reported be included on the Hip-Pop artist’s ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ album, which hits stores on April 3rd.
Minaj is expected to debut another new song, entitled ‘Roman Holiday’, at the 2012 Grammy Awards, which will air at 8pm ET via CBS. Additionally, her next official single, ‘Starships’, will premiere tomorrow (February 13th).
Listen to Minaj’s ‘Young Forever’ below:
‘Young Forever’ sounds quite similar to the content on Rihanna’s ‘Talk That Talk’ and follows the structure of the chorus of ‘Save Me’ from Minaj’s own ‘Pink Friday’. Simply, it is a solid track but it is far from exciting or innovative.
Minaj’s ‘Roman Reloaded’ project has been very worrying to observe thus far because none of the songs have delivered the impact of her previous works. Perhaps she has encountered a creative wall and if that is truly the case then she would have to get passed it quickly or else her album sales would be buried under it.
