In addition to his ‘Black Panties’ LP, which will be released later this year, R. Kelly also has plans to put forward another album. ‘Write Me Back’ will debut in March and the project is preceded by the lead offering, ‘Share My Love’.
Coincidentally, ‘Share My Love’ was inspired by the Disco elements of the 1970s; the exact genre that we discussed earlier in today’s Way Back Wednesday feature! Listen to the song below:
Listen to ‘Share My Love’ below:
‘Share My Love’ is a healthy combination of Disco, R&B and classic arrangements of Barry White. With record and the promised raunchy content of ‘Black Panties’, R. Kelly is truly returning to his roots by providing a balanced range of material that will cater to his Adult Contemporary R&B fans as well as those persons who want to “bump ‘n’ grind.” Let’s see if his formula will be profitable in the current music market.

It’s a good song. It has this Barry White’s “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love” meets Lou Rawls’ “You’ll Never Find Another Love like Mine” kind of vibe going on. I can totally groove to this.
These new so called R&B singers need to take notes from R.Kelly. He’s paying homage to those that game before him. These new singers are disrespectful.
R. Kelly is the real R&B soul singer. Trey??
Simply the greatest to do it! Love it! I say – HIT!
