When Usher announced that his next album would introduced a new subgenre he termed as “Revolutionary Pop”, many people speculated that he was planning to completely abandon his R&B roots. However, thanks to the production styles of Diplo, the crooner has crafted a new song called ‘Climax’ that captures the best elements of his many influences.

Whether ‘Climax’ is the lead single from Usher’s next studio album has yet to be confirmed but it is indeed a strong radio contender if selected. Listen to the record below:

‘Climax’ is an utterly brilliant track! Diplo is one of the best producers in the industry today and he arranged this record to perfectly suit Usher’s voice. Perhaps there is hope for Revolutionary Pop after all. In fact, this could be the next era of Urban music that helps to bridge the gap between Dance/Pop and R&B, similar to what Disco did in the late 1970s.
