Lil Kim continued to lay the foundation for the next era of her lengthy career by visiting MTV’s ‘Rap Fix’ last evening. The morphing rapper used the opportunity to discuss her upcoming album as well as her tumultuous relationship with her former mentor, Diddy.

While talking about Diddy, Kim stated that he was a major guiding force in her career and that she learned a lot from him, despite the strained nature of their current relationship. Additionally, Kim also addressed questions about 50 Cent’s role in her affairs and she made it clear that they a simply friends.

Kim will appear on BET’s ’106 & Park’ on Friday to shares details about her new album. She recently released a new promo pic for the record, which will be released later this year.
