Did you know that the Baha Men’s hit single ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’ is actually a cover of a Trinidadian Soca song?
‘Who Let The Dogs Out’ was originally written and recorded by Anslem Douglas. The song was initally released in 1998 and was a major hit during the Trinidad & Tobago Carnival season of that year.
The Baha Men later covered ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’ in 2000. Their version of the track eventually peaked at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as #2 on the Official UK Singles Chart. Additionally, the Baha Men earned Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for the song in 2001.
