New Song: Tamia – ‘Beautiful Surprise’

The incredibly talented yet grossly underrated Tamia has returned to the music scene with a new video. ‘Beautiful Surprise’ is the title track from the songbird’s new album, which will be released later this year via her own label, Plus 1 Music Group.
Tamia co-wrote ‘Beautiful Surprise’ with Claude Kelly and enlisted Salaam Remi for the track’s production. The song’s accompanying video has already been filmed and will be released in the coming weeks.

Tamia is one of the few R&B singers who has a vocal tone with natural crossover appeal. Her soprano is colourful and bright; traits that would boost the performance of ‘Beautiful Surprise’ on Top 40/Mainstream radio.
It really is such a thrill to hear a singer who could actually sing. There wasn’t an ounce of auto-tune on ‘Beautiful Surprise’ and although the chance of the song’s chart success are slim given the current dominance of Dance/Pop, it should excite fans of real R&B music.

Tamia should be at least bigger than Monica and maybe on the same level as Brandy or close to Mary J Blige, I don’t get why she is so underrated, this girl can sang!
