Chris Brown’s fans will have to wait a bit longer for the release of his highly anticipated ‘Fortune’ album as its release has been delayed until July. That’s right folks, the record has been pushed back by almost a full two months.
Instead of arriving on May 8th as previously projected, ‘Fortune’ will hit stores on July 3rd. The record is preceded by the promotional tune ‘Strip (Ft. Kevin McCall)’ as well as the official singles ‘Turn Up the Music’, ‘Sweet Love’ and ‘Till I Die (Ft. Wiz Khalifa & Big Sean)’.
To date, the highest-charting song from ‘Fortune’ has been ‘Turn Up the Music’. The song peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100, following Brown’s performance of the track at the 2012 Grammy Awards and the release of its controversial remix, which featured Rihanna.

Obviously, the delay of ‘Fortune’ will disappoint his fans but Brown will certainly benefit from possible additional promotional opportunities – the Billboard Music Awards and the BET Awards – available in the waiting period for the album’s release. Of course, Brown will need a high-charting single similar to ‘Look At Me Now (Ft. Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne)’ to help boost his chances of scoring a hit album.
Do you think it was a wise decision to push back ‘Fortune’ or has Brown’s team made a mistake? Leave you ropinion in the comment section below!
