Did you know that Marvin Gaye was killed by his father on the day before his 45th birthday?

Marvin was killed by his own father on April 1st 1984; just one day before his 45th birthday. He was attempting to separate an argument between his parents when his father shot him with a gun that Marvin bought for him earlier that year.

Later that year, Marvin’s father was convicted of voluntary manslaughter after evidence suggest that he was attacked by Marvin prior to the shooting. He later died on pneumonia in 1998.
