Record-breaking rapper T.I.

Did you know that T.I. is the only artist who replaced himself at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 on two separate occasions with the same songs?

During the week of October 18th 2008, T.I’s ‘Live Your Life (Ft. Rihanna)’ replaced ‘Whatever You Like’ from the #1 spot on the Hot 100, earning the rapper the title as the 9th artist in the history of the chart to achieve that feat. However, T.I. accomplished the same deed again in the week of November 15th 2008 when ‘Live Your Life’ ousted ‘Whatever You Like’, which had returned to #1 after Britney Spears claimed the Hot 100 crown for one week with ‘Womanizer’, from the summit.

Additionally, T.I’s ‘Whatever You Like’ became the 3rd song in history to log three separate runs at #1 on the Hot 100, following Chic’s ‘Le Freak’ and Leona Lewis’ ‘Bleeding Love’. Do you know what was the 4th song to manage that feat? If you guessed T.I’s ‘Live Your Life’ then you’re correct!
