Did you know that One Direction made history as the only UK group to top the Billboard 200 with a debut album?

In March 2012, One Direction’s ‘Up All Night’ entered the Billboard 200 at #1 and made the quintet the first UK band to achieve that feat. In fact, the previous highest entry for a British band on the chart with the Spice Girls’ ‘Spice’, which debuted at #6 in February 1997.

Shockingly, even The Beatles first official US release, ‘Meet The Beatles!’, only cracked the Billboard 200 at #92 in January 1964. However, similar to the Spice Girls’ ‘Spice’, it eventually topped the listing.
