Following the moderate success of ‘Elephant’, Alexandra Burke is back with a new single and the hopes of scoring a bigger hit on the Official UK Singles Chart. ‘Let it Go’ is the second official offering from her upcoming sophomore album and the tune will hit digital retailers in the UK on May 27th.
Clearly, when Burke promised an alum packed with Dance songs geared toward the clubs, she wasn’t joking. Listen to the synth-heavy ‘Let it Go’ below:
‘Let it Go’ is yet another basic Dance song that any artists could sing and make a hit. Although the message of the tune is great and Burke added several impressive riffs at the end, the track just does not reflect the magnitude of her talent.
It’s obvious that Burke is aiming to score her string of hit singles Dance songs such as ‘Let if Go’ will not earn her the critical appeal that she deserves. Simply, she is stuffing herself into the pants of Rihanna and in an effort to remain relevant instead of taking a serious risk with her sound.
I really like the song. Its a much better song than ‘Elephant’ which i hated. I see your point Trent. She trying to avoid the 2nd jinx by doing whats popular. I’m with that if it sounds like this. I do think this could open doors for her in the US. Love It. She did say there are urban track too so we will have to wait

The industry needs a new or existing artist to just come and switch things up like Nirvana did with Nevermind in the 90s. Tired of this dance music crap. We need to gather all these dance records in a stadium and burn them all like they did when people got sick of disco; I’m not even kidding.
Sincerely,
Fed up former music fan
This song is nothing special, it’s just alright.
Erykah Badu said it best, dance music is such a great side dish but now it’s the main course and I for one am getting sick of it. I understand that artists are trying to up their coinage but I really wish these artists would stop hopping on this dance bandwagon.
I need Badu not to make such boring music.
It’s a cute song. That’s it. I wouldn’t mind it as an album track but on the heels of “Elephant”, it’s a bit annoying especially with someone of Alexandra’s vocal power.
