There is 31-year age difference between Madonna and Chris Brown but the duo shared a special connection today. Indeed, two of the biggest Pop superstars of their respective generations landed atop of the UK charts this week and achieved historic firsts.

Firstly, Madonna’s ‘M.D.N.A.’ album entered the UK Albums Chart at #1 this week. The LP has become the icon’s 12th chart-topper and positioned her in the history books as the 1st artist to achieve that feat. In fact, Madonna has now surpassed Elvis Presley, who scored 11 pole position records.

Secondly, Brown has notched his 1st #1 song on the Official UK Singles Chart with ‘Turn Up the Music’. His previous highest-charting track was his debut release, ‘Run It’, which peaked at #2 on the lineup in 2006. Brown will issue his ‘Fortune’ album in UK on May 7th.
