I am a beyonce fan, but I have to admit that this year was not a beyonce year like her last album. BET is known to kiss a little tail when it comes to beyonce and jay-z. They are a lot more artists that they can nominate beside just beyonce.

BET has always had terrible nominations but this year takes the cake. The thirst is so evident, BET needs to get sponsered by Sprite so that they can quench that thirst. Estelle and Jill Scott should be nominated in best female r&b. They need to make a best pop artist category. More people should’ve been in the Video of the Year category. They should suspend the female rap category until there are more people (making major moves) to nominate. The youngstars category is unnecessary. There is just so much wrong with these nominations, they need new people, seriously.

You are forgetting that this award is for black music…R&B and Hip-Hop…Rihanna does neither, except when she does a feature here and there. I could see if you were saying that a Jill Scott, or Melanie Fiona, or Estelle or something other than Rihanna would deserve more nominations but… You are saying Rihanna is being disrespected? Really, no, your bias is showing. Rihanna and BET dont mix. BET should not make a Pop category because that would be a symptom of white-washing. People are complaining about Beyonce this and Beyonce that…when they did the samething for Chris Brown last year. #neaux1curr. We just want to see Beyonce perform. I think this year has all the ingredients of being the best show yet. If they get Bey, the Throne, and don’t fuck up the Whitney tribute…things will go great.

I said DESPITE not having a #1 album… lol I agree with you though… 4 was an excellent album and deserves the accolades and awards it gets. I just thought that We Found Love was a good video… it made me want to dust off my Rihanna stan card… but then she released TTT and I was like O__O lol

The only thing that pisses me off is the VIDEO OF THE YEAR AWARD! WTF? Why are Jayz and Beyonce the only two ppl in the damn category! Chris Brown’s TUTM & Kelly Rowland’s Motivation should also be in that category! This is an outrage and obviously done to get them to attend the damn show. I hate that the world bows to Jayz’s ass! Who even WANTS to see Nicki perform live??? How has Kelly Rowland got NO nominations and yet Estelle has like 2??? How is Rihanna once again nominated in an R&B category???
